Why save £1000 in 90 days?

So why try and save £1000 in 90 days? Why decide on this figure rather than something else? It isn’t a massive amount to save?

I have been thinking more about this from reading T Harv Eker’s ‘Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind’. The £1000 is a starting point to build upon. It is an opportunity to pay off debt and to establish some discipline that I can continue. I’m looking at it as a first step to a larger money mentality, and to help show others that something like this is possible without really crippling yourself.

As an update so far to how I’m doing, I’ve added two other small extras to the story so far:

The first is that I am taking a copy of my bank balance every 5 or 6 days to see what I am spending as sanity check
The second is that before I started I had £330 in my account. So I had an extra buffer of £130 for my £200 limit.

So when I think of what I’m doing and the reasons for it, it’s less of thinking about hoarding…

….and more of aspiring to the house on the beach!
