Eating Dust In The Half Light In The Name Of Fitness

So there I was. It was raining outside..no actually it was cats-and-dogs time…and my normal outside patio/exercise area was glistening with a sheen of watery lakeness…no chance of putting my mat down there…and doing push-ups

Or getting my arse thoroughly soaked in one sit-up…

I had toyed for a long time with doing my high intensity interval training workouts in the garage..but it was dusty and

there wasn’t any electricity in the place

…let alone a light…

But…I knew that the little guy in my head would give me that, uh huh…you have to keep up with your routine if you want that belly fat gone…

….if you are going to keep that fat off your belly you can’t just let a rainy day stop you…

And he is right.

So I went and did my exercise routine in the garage…and it was dusty and a bit dark…but ultimately actually a WINNER!!!

This was my workout:

  • 100 skips
  • 10 burpees (jump down from standing into a crouch with your feet up near your hands; jump them back into plank; do a push-up; then jump them forward again to your hands, with legs bent; then jump up in the air)
  • 10 x 2 (each side) side crunches
  • 10 leg raises then bum lifts with leg lowers
  • 20 star jumps from crouching

All this x 3…as in 3 rounds of all of this.

Full on, go for it. A nice short sharp shock…took me about 12 minutes 30 seconds. Even with inhaling a desert in the process…

So there is a point to this post other than me congratulating myself at my continued dedication to getting a flat belly and not a fat belly:

If you are feeling lazy and don’t want to do a work out / go running…cause it’s like, raining…then make sure you have a BACK UP PLAN….

AND GO DO IT!!!

Because your fat belly isn’t getting any slimmer sitting on your sofa watching John Snow on Channel 4…or repeats of Friends.

I think that about says it all really, don’t you?
