Richard Feynman and The Instant Fat Loss Fallacy
Richard Feynman is one of my heroes. For anyone with a scientific and physics background he generally is up there. The man was most famous for showing with a simple bit of rubber and iced water, what the cause of the Challenger disaster was…
Of course, he was also a mean bongo player, a bit of a cad and oh..A Nobel Prize winner.
But why am I using him in the context of fat loss, in particular instant fat loss?
Well, Feynman had a phrase that neatly summed up his approach to science and scientific inquiry:
DISREGARD
Which basically means don’t take anyone’s word for it absolutely..test it out and see!
In my career as a scientist I come across the ‘believe the theory’ mentality all to often. The way that models or ideas become fact by the process of repetition and consensus alone…with no hard physical testing and characterisation (a technical but succinct phrase that I love).
A part of this is our ability to fool ourselves, to create a new logic in our heads, to run with a an idea without looking at the facts and remembering what we were trying to achieve in the first place…
So instant fat loss? Show me…
The only rapid fat loss I have ever heard of is from amoebic dysentery. I may be wrong. There could be others.
But losing an inch or more of belly fat in 90 days..that’s achievable. I know because I tested it on myself (BrundleFly notwithstanding)
So here’s my question to you:
If someone told you that you could lose 12 pounds of belly fat in 7 days..basically instantly would you believe them?
What is someone showed you…that it was possible?
And now ask yourself, if someone told you of a way to lose an inch, 12 pounds or more, of belly fat in 90 days by exercising less than 2 hours a week and not having to give up beer or wine…would you believe that?
Or would you need to test it…?
I hope you both believe it and test it out…by getting my free report…
I want you to DISREGARD me telling you and start finding out for yourself.
