Chains of stress

Quite a deep title I know, but also one that is pertinent if you are currently using exercise to alleviate your stress AND hoping it will help you lose those last inches of belly fat…

Well there’s a very good chance it won’t..

The reason is not going to be what you expect..surely working out is a great way to blow off steam?

Yeah it is but the question is Are You Doing The Exercise To Blow Off Steam?…

Or did you Choose To Work Out And It Just Happened To Blow Off Steam?

You see, in the first instance, your life and schedule is controlling you so you have to work out to compensate…in the second instance you already are working out as part of your fat loss plan…and it just so happens it’s a good way of blowing off some tension and stress…

Do you see the difference?

One is proactive; the other is reactive…

And if you are doing the reactive one, there’s a really good chance that you are also reacting in other things…like binge eating when you’re not using it as a fat loss aid (Yes this is a technique used by bodybuilders but controlled)…or eating to feel better and get a sugar rush…

or maybe you go for a run because it just makes you feel great…yeah? But for how long and what are you telling you brain and body?…Prepare to work out when stressed.

Not to rest. Not to focus on breathing and disengaging so that you can fully engage again later..

No, instead you substitute physical energy for physical stress but a lot of the time, not at the best time that is best for you and your body…

The next time you exercise try to do it at the start of the day or at a time when you have actively chosen to do it..and do it no matter what comes up.

That way you build in the important habit so that it reinforces the 4 times a week exercise routine rather than counteracts something else….and as a side effect you will see your belly fat go down.

As well as your stress.
